Riverbed Farm is a sustainable urban farm in Anaheim operated by Renewable Farms, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2008. The farm was born from a 2014 partnership between Renewable Farms and the City of Anaheim to create Orange County's first Community Urban Mega Farm. It grows organic fruits, vegetables, fish, and eggs year-round, with the help of interns and volunteer community members. Hundreds of pounds of fresh food are distributed to local families each month. The farm also offers venue rental space for weddings and private events, which helps fund its food and education programs. Riverbed Farm grows organic fruits, vegetables, fish, and eggs year-round. The farm uses an aquaponics system and raises chickens alongside its produce and fruit trees. It is managed in partnership with the City of Anaheim and is worked by interns and volunteer community members. Workshop programming covers topics including energy consumption, water conservation, composting, plant maintenance, and chicken care. Off the farm, Renewable Farms provides consulting on responsible agricultural practices for schools, hospitals, and homeowners.
