Pasture-raised pork, grass-fed beef, eggs, and farm stays in the Red Lick Valley.
Red Haven Farm sits in the Red Lick Valley of Estill County, Kentucky, with Red Lick Creek running through the property. Founded in 2020 by Sandy Ross and Martin Caruana, the farm was built around a mission to raise livestock humanely and share the land's natural beauty with guests. It produces pastured pork, grass-fed and finished beef from Scottish Highland cattle, poultry, eggs, and honey, all available for purchase by individual cut or in bulk shares. The farm also operates a Country Store carrying local meats, produce, hand-dipped ice cream, gifts, and livestock feed. Farm stay accommodations let visitors explore the property and spend time with the animals. Learn more on their About Page.
Red Haven Farm raises Idaho Pasture Pigs on 90% grass and 10% grain, describing them as grass-fed and pasture-raised. Its Scottish Highland cattle are 100% grass-fed and finished. The farm states it strives to raise all animals as humanely and organically as possible, keeping them on pasture or in the woods at 95-100% of their time. Animals are rotated across pastures to support sustainability and have access to clean drinking water along with added minerals and supplements. The farm does not use animal by-products, growth hormones, or antibiotics unless absolutely necessary. Beehives were added to the farm in 2025, with honey planned for the Country Store.
