Pratt Family Beef is a sixth-generation family ranch that sells 100% grassfed and grass-finished beef directly to consumers. The Pratt Ranch was homesteaded in 1904 and has remained in the family ever since. Ranch operations are managed by Mark Pratt, with support from family members and neighbors. The direct-to-consumer beef program began in 2012 and has grown into a full family effort. Pratt Family Beef sells beef in bulk quantities: fully customizable quarter, half, and whole beef shares, as well as 20-, 50-, and 100-pound ground beef bundles. Learn more on their About Page.
Pratt Family Beef raises cattle using 100% grass-fed, pasture-raised, and grass-finished methods on private and public land in the valleys and mountains of Southeast Idaho. Animal care practices include preventative health measures, low-stress handling, and consistent care. The ranch applies holistic and regenerative land management with the goals of capturing carbon and increasing soil health. The operation also prioritizes biodiversity, maintaining diverse landscapes and soils to provide habitat for migratory and local wildlife alongside the cattle herd.
