Pounds Meat Wagon is a fifth-generation beef cattle farm run by Matt and Whitney Pounds. Matt holds a degree in Animal Science, Production and Management, with a minor in Agricultural Business from Auburn University. The farm offers beef in shares sized at 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, and whole, as well as Beef Boxes, Beef Bags, and individual cuts available directly from the on-farm freezer. Pork is also available alongside the beef offerings. Customers can purchase directly from the farm or order online. Pounds Meat Wagon is a proud member of Sweet Grown Alabama. Pounds Meat Wagon raises its beef and pork as grass-fed and grain-finished, with no added hormones and no GMOs. The farm describes its animals as naturally raised. Meat is sold direct from the farm, giving customers a direct connection to the source of their food.
