Park Farming Organics is a family-owned farm founded in 1980, originally growing processing tomatoes before transitioning to fully organic acreage in 1992. The farm is run by owners Brian and Jamie Park, with founding owners Scott and Ulla Park active as consultants. It spans 1,350 certified acres across 23 fields and grows a diverse range of crops including processing tomatoes, squash, cantaloupe, watermelons, cucumbers, wheat, rice, corn (red, blue, yellow, and white), barley, hemp, dry beans, sunflower, alfalfa, and cover crop seed. Park Farming Organics holds CCOF organic certification, which it achieved over 20 years of transitioning fields from conventional to organic production. The farm also holds certification from the Real Organic Project (ROP), awarded in 2021, recognizing that its crops are grown in soil and that animals are pasture-fed. In 2022, it became the first diversified, large row crop farm in California to receive Regenerative Organic Certification (ROC) from Regenerative Organic Certification and also from A Greener World (AGW). Practices that earned these certifications include thoughtful crop rotation, extensive cover cropping, gentler tillage methods, and soil-building fertility inputs. The farm documents a consistent, positive trend of improvement in soil health, environmental impact, animal welfare, and employee conditions. These methods have transformed the farm's soil from near-sterile to one rich in earthworms and microbial life.
