Custom-processed grass-fed Angus beef, finished and cut to each customer's specifications.
Parish Custom Beef is a family-run cow/calf operation that has been raising grass-fed Angus beef since 1968, when founder Harold Parish purchased his first twenty-five black Angus cows on land he began clearing in 1966. The ranch specializes in beef raised without added hormones and never treated with antibiotics. Customers choose between a half or whole beef and select how the animal is finished: either grass-finished (100% grass-fed) or grain-finished. After selecting a finish, customers complete a cut sheet that instructs the processor on exactly how to cut and package their order. Parish coordinates with trusted processors and holds reserved processing dates, and customers pick up directly from the processor. The business is Texas Beef Verified.
Parish Custom Beef raises black Angus cattle on pasture grass without added hormones and never treated with antibiotics. Customers choose their preferred finish: grass-finished animals receive a diet solely of pasture grass, forage, and/or hay, while grain-finished animals are pasture-raised and grass-fed and then transitioned to an all-natural grain diet containing no hormones, no antibiotics, and no animal by-products for sixty days before processing. Extended grain finishing beyond sixty days is available for whole beef orders. The ranch is a productive cow/calf operation, with family members as the primary force behind its daily activities.
