Overview

Nonprofit regenerative farm and CSA serving the Gunnison Valley with local produce, meat, and food access programs.

Mountain Roots Food Project is a 501(c)3 nonprofit founded in 2010 that operates farms, community gardens, and food access programs across the Gunnison Valley. It runs two farms (Community Farm and Glacier Farm), three community gardens, school gardens, and four container farms. Members can join a seasonal CSA offering vegetable, fruit, bread, egg, and meat shares sourced from Mountain Roots and partner farms. A Fall and Winter CSA extends local food access through the colder months with delivery to Gunnison and Crested Butte. The organization also runs a Backyard Harvest program, a Soup Share, and a Food Hub, and accepts SNAP/EBT for CSA participation. Learn more on their About Page.
