MJ Ranch holds two certifications from A Greener World (AGW): Certified Grass-Fed and Animal Welfare Approved. The Certified Grass-Fed designation guarantees animals are fed a 100% grass and forage diet, raised outdoors on pasture or range, and managed to high welfare and environmental standards on an independent farm. The Animal Welfare Approved certification covers the animal's entire life, including audited standards for production, transport, and slaughter. The ranch rotates cattle through pastures in spring, summer, and fall, and rolls out its own brome, alfalfa, and clover hay in winter. No pesticides or herbicides are used on the pastures. The ranch is audited annually to verify compliance with these standards.
