Mezza Luna Italian Restaurant was founded in 1993 by three friends whose combined culinary experience had taken them around the world before they settled on the California coast. For over thirty years, the restaurant has served southern Italian dishes with a California flair, housed in the historic Princeton Inn (circa 1906). The menu spans homemade pastas, wood-baked pizza, fresh seafood, and quality meat dishes, alongside house-made meatballs, sausage, gnocchi, and desserts. A full bar features Italian and California wines. Mezza Luna also offers two private dining rooms for events ranging from intimate gatherings to larger parties, with customized banquet menus. Mezza Luna's kitchen focuses on high-quality meats, fish, and produce, much of it locally sourced. Pasta, gnocchi, lasagna, ravioli, meatballs, sausage, and garlic bread are made in-house. Salads on the menu use organic mixed greens. Gluten-free penne is available as a substitute for most pasta dishes, though the kitchen is not a dedicated gluten-free or nut-free environment.
