Mendenhall Valley Ranch is a family cattle ranch on Palomar Mountain that has raised grass-fed beef across seven generations. The ranch sits on native grassland that was once an ancient lakebed, fed by natural artesian springs, where cattle graze on rich and varied native grasses from start to finish. The ranch sells whole or half beef and works directly with families, offering a customized order experience that includes choices of cuts, ground beef fat content, package size, and dry aging time. Because it is a single-family operation, herd size is kept within the family's own capabilities. Ranch visits can be scheduled after a deposit is made.
