Grass-fed lamb farm selling cuts and sausages at the Boise Farmers Market since 1989.
Meadowlark Farm has been raising and selling grass-fed lamb in southwest Idaho since 1989. The farm also raises pastured poultry. Lamb is sold by the cut, with options including rack of lamb, chops, boneless and bone-in leg, kabobs, shanks, ground lamb, osso bucco, and neck slices. Additional cuts such as stew meat, shoulder, and bone-in leg become available in the fall and winter. Meadowlark Farm also offers lamb sausages, including a Moroccan-style merguez and a lamb apple sausage. Products are available at the Boise Farmers Market most Saturdays from April through October, and occasionally at the Winter Market, as well as by direct order with delivery arrangements.
Meadowlark Farm's flock is grass-fed, grazing on pastures from mid-April through mid-October. During the winter months, the sheep are fed non-GMO hay sourced from neighboring farms.
