New Hampshire's first cooperative CSA, delivering certified organic weekly produce shares from a network of local farms.
Local Harvest CSA is a cooperative produce subscription service founded in 2002 as the first cooperative CSA in New Hampshire. Members purchase a seasonal share and receive a weekly selection of locally grown vegetables, fruits, and add-ons such as bread, eggs, honey, maple syrup, and flowers. The share contents shift with the season, from spring greens through summer tomatoes and peppers to late-season storage crops. The cooperative model pools the strengths of multiple partner farms, giving each grower the opportunity to specialize while collectively delivering a diverse weekly box. Any unused produce or unclaimed shares are donated. Learn more on their About Page.
All produce offered through Local Harvest CSA is certified organic under the USDA National Organic Program. The partner farms go beyond certification requirements with soil stewardship practices that prioritize composting, biodiversity, and long-term land health. With the exception of storage crops, vegetables are picked to order each week rather than warehoused and shipped over long distances. The cooperative currently draws from core farms including Kearsarge Gore Farm (Warner), Good Earth Farm (Weare), Sweet Beet Farm (Bradford), Green Hill Collective (Sutton), Blaisdell Hill Farm (Sutton), and Wildhollow Farm (Hillsboro), and also collaborates with additional local farms for specialty crops and extra variety.
