Larga Vista Ranch & Dairy

Larga Vista Ranch & Dairy has farmed without pesticides for more than 40 years, relying on crop rotation, intensively managed irrigated pasture development, and sound animal nutrition in place of chemical inputs. Livestock are rotated through mixed-species pastures during the growing season and fed stored forages through winter. Soil fertility is maintained through the animals themselves, compost, soil minerals, and supplemental micronutrients. No antibiotics, hormones, or genetically modified organisms are used. Dairy cattle are grass-fed and grain-free year-round, supported by rich soils and plentiful irrigation water that allow lush grazing for roughly nine months of the year. Hogs are never confined and are rotated through different pastures, using their natural rooting behavior to renovate annual pasture ground.
