AGA-certified grassfed Texas Longhorn beef, pasture-raised eggs, and fiber from a regenerative Colorado family farm.
Heritage Belle Farms is a small, diversified family farm and ranch on the high prairie outside Calhan, Colorado, owned and operated by Katie Belle Miller. The farm raises registered Texas Longhorn cattle and sells USDA and American Grassfed Association (AGA) certified, 100% grassfed and grass-finished beef in bulk shares and individual cuts. It also offers free-range eggs from chickens, ducks, and geese, along with Navajo-Churro sheep fiber products. All of the farm's animals are heritage breeds, chosen for their ability to thrive on native forage, their longevity, and their natural fertility. Katie also founded the SoCO Sourced Colorado Virtual Farmers Market Directory and holds a Holistic Management Educator accreditation through Holistic Management International. Heritage Belle Farms raises its Texas Longhorn cattle on pasture for their entire lives, supplementing only with grass hay cut and baled on the farm during the dormant season. No grain, antibiotics, steroids, or hormones are used at any point. All cattle carry AGA Certified Lifetime 100% Grassfed and Grass-Finished status and are harvested at USDA or state-exempt facilities. The land is managed without synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, or any chemical inputs. Rotational grazing systems are designed to mimic historic bison grazing patterns, using intentional timing, hoof impact, and natural fertilization to build soil health and plant diversity on native shortgrass prairie. Heritage Belle Farms also provides community education and mentorship on regenerative grazing and holistic farm management for beginning and small producers.
