Laine Organic Farms is a small sustainable farm in southeast Arizona, operated by owners Lloyd and Terrie. Lloyd holds degrees in Animal Husbandry, Agriculture, Animal Science, and Pre-Veterinary Science, and returned to farming after a career in mental health. Terrie brought a background in the medical field and a lifelong familiarity with farm life, having grown up on her family's farm in Michigan. Together they grow a wide range of produce, including garlic, tomatoes, squash, cucumbers, broccoli, cauliflower, sweet potatoes, artichokes, melons, and more. The farm also raises chickens and offers farm fresh eggs by the dozen. Products are available for pickup, delivery, or by appointment on request. Learn more on their About Page.
Laine Organic Farms follows what it describes as strict organic practices, using no chemicals, no GMOs, no pesticides, no growth hormones, and no steroids. The farm sits at a higher altitude in southeast Arizona, which it notes provides mild weather well suited to growing produce year-round. The farm's stated policy is that it will not sell anything the owners would not eat or use themselves. Because crop availability varies with growing conditions, the farm asks customers to contact them directly to check on what is currently ready for harvest.
