Certified organic farm offering vegetables, grass-fed beef, heritage pork, eggs, dry beans, and alfalfa via wholesale and farmers markets.
King's Crown Organic Farm is a roughly 700-acre certified organic operation in southern Idaho, founded and run by third-generation farmer and rancher Nate Jones. Nate learned animal and plant husbandry from his father before transitioning the land to organic methods and certification. The farm grows a wide range of vegetables, melons, dry beans, sweet and feed corn, onions, and potatoes, and raises cattle, pigs, chickens, and bees. Products are available through wholesale direct sales, seasonal farmers markets in the Ketchum and Boise areas, and retail. Nate's wife, Colleen Teevin, manages the geothermal greenhouse, Berkshire pigs, beehives, and egg production. Learn more on their About Page.
King's Crown Organic Farm grows without herbicides, pesticides, or hormones. The farm uses crop rotation and cover crops to replenish soil structure, and maintains border habitats along crop edges to support wildlife important to working landscapes. Beef comes from organic, grass-fed and grass-finished Akaushi cattle. Heritage Berkshire pork is raised in open space or on pasture, depending on age and season. Organic feed corn is stored on site and available year-round, and high dairy-quality alfalfa is priced by individual cutting protein content. The farm also maintains beehives, whose pollination supports the broader growing system.
