Small family dairy and beef farm offering raw milk, angus cross beef cuts, and beef tallow soaps.
Gallup Family Farms is a family-run dairy and cow/calf operation in Gooding, Idaho. It raises Jersey cows for raw unpasteurized milk and angus cross cattle for farm beef, and also produces handmade beef tallow soaps, shampoo bars, and related tallow-based body products. The farm's soap line, launched in 2014, is rooted in a nose-to-tail philosophy that puts beef tallow to use after harvest. Beef shares are available alongside retail cuts and meat bundles. Gallup Family Farms also works with local farmers and family to carry farm-fresh eggs, honey, jams, and other seasonal extras. Products can be purchased at the farm store or through local delivery across the Magic Valley. Learn more on their About Page.
Gallup Family Farms follows conventional cattle-raising methods. Beef cattle are grain-finished for 30 days prior to harvest, and the milking Jersey cows receive a grain allotment at each milking. The farm states these practices produce better-tasting beef and support consistent milk production from the dairy herd. The soap and body-care line is made with beef tallow rendered from the farm's own cattle, reflecting the operation's commitment to using as much of each animal as possible. Dairy products, meat, eggs, and honey are not shipped and are available only through the farm store or local delivery routes serving the Magic Valley region.
