Veteran-owned family farm offering pasture-raised beef, chicken, eggs, and CSA shares.
K&B Liberty Farms is a veteran-owned, family-operated farm on 67 acres in Corydon, Indiana, run by Kris and Brittney Hobt. The farm raises pasture-raised chickens (broilers and egg layers), grass-fed beef cattle (a Gelbvieh and Black Angus mix), goats, and produces eggs. Products are available individually or through a 20-week CSA membership, offered in full shares (weekly) and half shares (every other week). The CSA includes on-farm visits. The farm also maintains market gardens and raises fresh produce seasonally. Learn more on their About Page.
K&B Liberty Farms uses regenerative agriculture methods across its livestock operation. Broilers and egg layers are raised outdoors on pasture from 3-4 weeks of age; broilers are moved in chicken tractors on a rotating daily schedule, while egg layers have free access to pasture from sunrise to sunset. All chickens receive a custom-milled organic, NON-GMO feed sourced from Bagdad Roller Mills in Kentucky. Beef cattle are rotationally grazed across divided paddocks to prevent overgrazing; their diet is pasture grasses, supplemented with hay in winter. No hormones and no chemicals are used on the pastures. Chickens from the CSA program are guaranteed a minimum of 2 lbs per product, with any weight over that included at no extra charge.
