James Ranch

James Ranch raises its beef cattle on a 100% grass-fed and finished system, with no grain, no growth hormones, and no antibiotics. Cattle graze on irrigated Animas Valley pastures using a quick rotational grazing method, moved every one to three days to fresh pasture, with no artificial fertilizers, pesticides, or insecticides used on grazing land. Beef is dry-aged for 21 days and processed at a USDA facility approximately 40 minutes from the ranch. The ranch describes its grazing approach as regenerative. All food products sold in the Market are stated to be grown without synthetic chemicals, pesticides, or herbicides, and are delivered by the farmers and ranchers themselves. The Market also stocks products from regional producers, including grass-fed lamb and goat, pastured pork, fresh sourdough bread, and wild-caught Alaskan salmon sourced through a local family.
