Certified organic heirloom vegetable farm offering a CSA, farm pickup, and herbal tea.
Iowana Farm sits on 20 acres in the Iowa Loess Hills, just east of Crescent, Iowa, growing certified organic vegetables in open fields and high tunnels. Its vegetables are Certified Organic by OCIA (Organic Crop Improvement Association). The farm is best known for its heirloom tomatoes, which are also sold at TakeRoot Farm Stop in Omaha's Dundee neighborhood. Iowana Farm runs a CSA program that began in 2009 with five shareholders and has grown to offer Spring and Summer seasons, with full and half share options. CSA members can pick up at the farm or at several business locations in Omaha and Council Bluffs. The farm also produces Iowana Herbal Tea and accepts CSA add-ons from local partner farms.
Iowana Farm vegetables are Certified Organic by OCIA (Organic Crop Improvement Association). The farm grows in both open vegetable fields and high tunnels on its 20-acre property in the Iowa Loess Hills. CSA add-on products come from local Iowa partners, including eggs, mushrooms, and microgreens (pea shoots and radishes) from nearby farms, as well as coffee from a small Omaha roaster. Add-ons can be included weekly or every other week.
