Illinois Country Harvest

Illinois Country Harvest is a small, diverse farm on 12 acres of family land that has been passed down through five generations. It grows heirloom grains, vegetables, flowers, herbs, and native plants, and raises heritage pigs using sustainable practices. A standout offering is its Rouge de Bordeaux heritage wheat, a French variety with roots in 18th-century French Colonial history, grown as part of The Les Amis du Fort de Chartres Seed to Loaf: Heritage Wheat Revival Project. The farm harvests the wheat with antique equipment, then stone mills it in an on-farm commercial kitchen to produce artisan flour available for purchase.
