Fifth-generation family farm raising 100% grass-fed, grass-finished beef in southern Illinois.
Dierks Farms is a multigenerational family farm in Ava, Illinois, with roots going back to 1881. Larry and Pam Dierks, along with sons Lane and Lathan, raise Angus/Simmental cross cattle on their own land. The farm focuses exclusively on grass-fed, grass-finished beef. Cuts include ground beef, steaks such as T-bones, brisket, rump roast, and liver, as well as bulk orders in quarter, half, and whole quantities. Beef is available through retail locations in Illinois and Missouri, as well as direct farm pickup and home delivery.
Dierks Farms raises its cattle on pasture from birth through processing, with no antibiotics, steroids, or grain ever given. The herd grazes on rotated grasses, a practice the farm describes as centering on humane animal treatment and care for the land. The farm has a close relationship with the soil and water conservation service and has received a Soil and Water Farm Family of the Year recognition. All beef is raised on the farm's own land by the Dierks family.
