Family-run Texas apiary offering raw honey, creamed honey, and bee pollen.
Holdman Honey is a family-run bee farm owned by David and Susan Holdman, along with their four children, Roby, Reagan, Ruston, and Raleigh. David handles the bees, bottling, and distribution, while Susan manages finances and marketing. The whole family pitches in, from running the honey extractor to labeling jars. We offer raw honey, creamed honey, bee pollen, and other products for sale online and at various locations throughout Texas. Orders can be picked up by arrangement, though the farm is not open for general visitation or tours.
We keep over 4,000 beehives. Many of our colonies have local origins, though some queens come from as far away as Hawaii. In spring, our bees collect nectar from bluebonnets and other Texas wildflowers. Through summer, they forage from cactus, mesquite, and sunflowers. All of our honey is raw and unpasteurized. We do not use the high-heat pasteurization process applied to conventional honey, which we note destroys natural enzymes, kills flavor, neutralizes antioxidant benefits, and removes pollen. Our honey is also unfiltered, preserving the pollen and other beneficial components present in its natural state.
