Hipwell Ranch is a small, independent family ranch founded in 2010 in Oreana, Idaho, in the Owyhee Mountain range. Mitch and Brecca Hipwell run the operation alongside their children, carrying on an agricultural tradition that goes back several generations in Mitch's family. The ranch raises BrAngus beef, pasture-raised pork, chicken, turkey, and eggs, and sells direct to consumers. Cuts are available individually or in bulk, with whole and half options for both beef and pork. Juniper firewood, harvested from the Owyhee Mountains, is also available by the cord.
Hipwell Ranch raises its beef as grass-fed and grass-finished. All meats are described as all-natural, raised without antibiotics, hormones, or GMO feed. Pork, chicken, and eggs are pasture-raised. The ranch harvests juniper trees from its land as a stewardship practice to cultivate the ground and increase natural vegetation and grass cover.
