Family-owned Kansas dairy farm bottling minimally processed milk and cream in reusable glass bottles since 1930.
Hildebrand Farms Dairy is a third- and fourth-generation family farm that has been producing and bottling dairy since 1930. Co-owned by brothers David and Alan Hildebrand and their wives, the operation spans over 2,000 acres and raises a herd of Holsteins. The farm runs its own on-site bottling plant, opened in 2008, and distributes glass-bottled milk and dairy products to more than 150 retail locations across Kansas. Its product line includes whole, 2%, skim, creamline, chocolate, strawberry, and root beer milks, along with heavy cream, sweet cream butter, sea salt butter, eggnog, an ice cream mix, and lemonade. Soft serve ice cream is available exclusively at the on-site farm store. Learn more on their About Page.
Hildebrand Farms produces most of the feed for its own herd of Holsteins on the farm's 2,000-plus acres, supporting a largely self-contained operation. All milk is bottled in reusable glass bottles, which the farm accepts back to reuse and recycle. The milk is minimally processed. Chocolate milk is made using slow vat pasteurization, which caramelizes the all-natural cocoa and pure cane sugar. The creamline variety is non-homogenized. The farm's sweet cream butter is churned on-site in small batches using only cream. The farm states it does not use the rBST synthetic growth hormone on its cows.
