Engle Family Farms is a fifth-generation cattle operation in Abilene, Kansas, run by Howard and Melissa Engle. The farm raises certified grass-fed beef cattle that are born, raised, and finished on open-range pastures on the property. All cattle are raised hormone-free and antibiotic-free, and are harvested at peak condition. Beef is sold by the side and by cut, with pricing available directly through the farm. Orders are placed by contacting the farm, which is available Monday through Saturday.
Engle Family Farms raises its cattle exclusively on grass from birth through finishing, with no hormones or antibiotics used at any stage. All cattle are born and raised on the farm's own open-range pastures in Kansas. The farm states its beef carries certified grass-fed status. The cattle's 100% grass diet is the basis for the farm's claims about the fatty acid profile of its meat, including Omega-3 to Omega-6 balance, CLA, and Vitamin E content.
