Small homestead farm raising pasture-raised chickens for farm-pickup orders.
Grateful Plate Farmstead is a small homestead farm run by Coleen and James, a family operation focused on raising pasture-raised chickens. The farm sells whole chickens directly to customers, with orders placed online and birds picked up at the farm. Chickens are sold at a flat rate per bird, with no minimum order required. The farm processes birds on-site: each chicken is weighed, packaged, and labeled before pickup. Sales are paused for the 2025 season, with plans to resume for the 2026 growing season.
Grateful Plate Farmstead raises its chickens on pasture. Chicks begin in on-farm brooders, where they are kept warm and given non-GMO feed formulated without corn or soy, along with clean well water. At around two to three weeks of age, the birds are moved outdoors onto pasture, where they live on sunshine, fresh air, grass, and bugs. Chickens are processed on the farm.
