Regenerative family farm raising pastured beef, pork, chicken, turkey, and eggs in the Crystal River Valley.
Dooley Creek Farm is a hundred-acre regenerative family farm in the Crystal River Valley, operated by the Meredith and Shipman families, now in their fourth generation on the land. Jake and Mollie Shipman returned to the homestead in 2016, combining Mollie's background in human nutrition with Jake's lifelong connection to farming. The farm raises pastured pork, 100% grass-fed beef, pastured chicken, turkey, and eggs, and also produces beeswax and lard candles. A monthly meat CSA delivers a selection of these products to members across the Roaring Fork Valley, from Glenwood to Aspen. The farm's mission is to foster ecological and human flourishing through regenerative farming practices. Learn more on their About Page.
Dooley Creek Farm describes its approach as grass-based and regenerative, with soil-building as a central focus. The farm uses managed grazing and composting to build and restore soil health. Beef is 100% grass-fed and grass-finished; pork and chicken are pasture-raised. The farm characterizes its standards as beyond organic, though it does not state a third-party organic certification. Animal welfare and permaculture principles guide day-to-day decisions on the farm.
