Desnudo Coffee is a specialty coffee trailer founded in Austin in 2022 by brothers Juan and Sergio Trujillo, who grew up in Colombia's Huila region, one of the country's most celebrated coffee-growing areas. The name 'Desnudo' means naked: flavors and intentions stripped down to a natural and pure state. The East Austin location on Webberville Rd is where it all started, serving espresso drinks, matcha, signature lattes, pour-overs, and seasonal specialty drinks. The menu rotates to reflect the different fermentations, varietals, and drying processes used across the farms they work with. Beans are roasted in small batches in Austin and the lineup changes as new harvests arrive. A coffee membership program is also available for home delivery of freshly roasted beans.

Desnudo sources 100% of its coffee from small, family-run farms in Colombia, with no intermediaries involved in the supply chain. Coffee farmers typically receive only 6-10% of global coffee sales due to the many intermediaries involved; by working directly with farmers, Desnudo ensures they receive a fair price for their work. Juan and Sergio partner with small producers on long-term projects that include education in specialty coffee production, innovation in new processing methods, and the adoption of sustainable and regenerative agricultural practices. One stated goal is to protect future coffee-growing soils and restore degraded lands by encouraging biological practices on the farms. Beans are roasted in small batches in Austin to preserve freshness.
