Denney Farms is a family-run operation in Silver Lake, Indiana, founded by Nick and Brittany Denney in 2012. The farm grows on one-third of an acre, producing fresh vegetables, fruits, herbs, and flowers. Denney Farms also sells dried herbs and teas, along with a wide range of garden plant starts including tomatoes, sweet and hot peppers, herb plants, and flowers. Plant starts are available for local delivery in the spring or for pickup at the farm and at the Winona Lake Farmers Market. The market stand runs Saturday mornings from May through October at the Miller Sunset Pavilion in Winona Lake. Learn more on their About Page.
Denney Farms describes its growing approach as organic. All plants sold as starts are grown on-site in the farm's 25-by-50-foot seedling greenhouse. Rather than purchasing plugs, the farm starts its plants from seed or roots its own starts from mother plants it keeps on the property.
