Grass-fed beef, pastured pork, lamb, and a pick-your-own orchard on an Arizona ranch established in 1966.
Date Creek Ranch is an Arizona cattle ranch established in 1966 that has supplied local families with grass-fed beef, lamb, and pastured meats since 1985. It is now operated by Ryan Barteau and Savannah Figueroa-Barteau, who carry on the ranch's tradition of direct-to-consumer sales. Alongside beef, lamb, and pork, the ranch maintains a family orchard where visitors can pick peaches and apples in season. Ranch tours are available by appointment. Everything produced on the ranch is sold directly to customers. Learn more on their About Page.
Date Creek Ranch's beef and lamb are 100% grass-fed and grass-finished, raised on native forages and irrigated pasture, and are hormone-free and antibiotic-free. The cattle never enter a feedlot and receive no grain, soy, or corn. Pastured pork is raised on pasture, hormone-free, antibiotic-free, and soy-free. The ranch describes its beef and lamb as "beyond organic." No pesticides, chemicals, or herbicides have been used on the ranch since 1983, and the orchard fruit is described as organic. The ranch is predator-friendly, with all animals intermingling to support native plant and wildlife ecosystems. It runs entirely on solar power. Meat is processed at a small facility in Camp Verde and sold direct to customers.
