Raw Arizona honey and beekeeping classes from a family apiary in Peoria.
Honey Hive Farms is a small family apiary run by Tim and Connie Moore, who have been keeping bees in Arizona since 2009. Every jar of honey starts in their own hives, is extracted and settled on site, and is hand-bottled in Peoria. The lineup includes wildflower, cactus, mesquite, orange blossom, alfalfa, and a seasonal Suicide blend. Cactus honey is available only once a year. Beyond honey, the farm sells queens and nucs for beekeepers. A Saturday farm stand runs out of the property on a weekly basis. Learn more on their About Page.
Honey Hive Farms extracts, settles, and bottles all honey itself. No imported honey is blended in, and the honey is not heat-pasteurized, keeping it raw. The farm carries a "Certified Hive To Table" designation it applies to its own process, meaning every jar originates from its own hives and is bottled on site in Peoria. Hands-on beginner beekeeping classes are held at the backyard apiary, limited to six students at a time, with suits and gloves provided and a real hive inspection included.
