Overview

Family-run heirloom produce farm supplying vegetables, herbs, edible flowers, and homemade products to Kansas City restaurants and markets.

Crum's Heirlooms is a family farm founded in 2002 by Deb and Jim Crum. The operation began with heirloom tomatoes grown in a backyard and sold at farmers' markets in Kansas and western Missouri before expanding to restaurant accounts. The farm now cultivates five acres of its own land plus two additional leased acres, producing a broad range of vegetables, herbs, and edible flowers. It also makes its own homemade products, including smoked and dried hot peppers. In partnership with other local growers, Crum's Heirlooms offers cornmeal, apples, peaches, and chestnuts. The farm serves a wide roster of independent and gourmet restaurants across the greater Kansas City area. All farm and business operations rely on involvement from the entire Crum family, with friends also volunteering throughout the growing season.
