Florida homestead farm producing goat milk products, farm-fresh eggs, raw honey, and soap under the Lulu Fay's Country Suds line.
Cherokee Winds is a family homestead farm run by Melinda and Joe Cusack, home to dairy goats, chickens, ducks, peacocks, honey bees, and llamas. The farm's goats supply milk used to make cheese, yogurt, and the full line of Lulu Fay's Country Suds bath and body products. Flocks of chickens, ducks, and other poultry produce farm-fresh eggs, and the on-site bee hives yield raw honey. Llama fleece from the property is used to make yarn and rugs. Melinda also tends organic vegetable gardens and herb and tea gardens, relying on natural methods for pest and weed control, and preserves the harvest through canning and freezing. Learn more on their About Page.
Cherokee Winds uses natural methods for pest and weed control across its vegetable, herb, and tea gardens, which Melinda describes as organic. Goat milk soap and bath products are made in small batches using the cold-process method (with hot-process used as well), and incorporate olive oil, coconut oil, responsibly sourced palm oil, castor oil, and shea butter, along with essential oils and some fragrance oils. The soaps are sulfate, paraben, and phthalate free. Cherokee Winds is a member of Handcrafted & Co through the Soap Guild.
