Georgia's only Certified Organic pasture-raised poultry farm, offering chicken, turkey, and bone broth.
Grateful Pastures is Georgia's only Certified Organic pasture-raised poultry farm, founded in 2015 by Shaun Terry in Mansfield. The farm raises chickens and turkeys on open pasture and also produces bone broth. Birds are housed in mobile shelters that are moved to fresh pasture, allowing them to forage for grass, seeds, and insects. The farm supplements that diet with Certified Organic feed. Grateful Pastures sells whole and cut chicken, turkey, and bone broth through farm pickup, farmers markets, and online ordering.
Grateful Pastures holds USDA Certified Organic certification. Its birds are raised on pasture in mobile shelters that are moved to fresh ground regularly, giving the flock continuous access to grass, seeds, and insects. The farm supplements this forage-based diet with Certified Organic feed. Moving the birds to fresh pasture also leaves a thin layer of manure behind, naturally fertilizing the land as the flock rotates through.
