Farm-raised Angus freezer beef, sold in whole, half, and quarter portions from a family farm.
Buckhorn Meadow Farm is a family-run Angus cattle operation in Cottondale, Florida, with roots in cattle breeding going back to 1974. Founded by lifetime cattleman Mark Butler, the farm focuses on producing high-quality freezer beef sold directly to customers in whole, half, and quarter portions. Butler selects the Angus breed for its natural marbling characteristics. Only the farm's best yearlings are chosen to become freezer beef. The farm's service area covers the Florida Panhandle, Southeast Alabama, and Southwest Georgia. Learn more on their About Page.
Buckhorn Meadow Farm finishes its beef slowly and correctly for a minimum of 150 days on a natural blended grain feed. Cattle are harvested at 16 months of age. The farm does not use antibiotics or hormones and growth stimulants. Mark Butler's years of growing his own crops and forages allow him to develop a feed program tailored to the farm's own cattle. Only select yearlings graduate to the freezer beef program.
