Vegetable farm offering CSA shares, a seasonal farmstand, and community education in Dartmouth, MA.
Brix Bounty Farm is a vegetable farm in Dartmouth, MA focused on producing vegetables with an emphasis on nutrition, quality, and flavor. The farm grows its entire range of crops on-site on land leased from the King Family, and all vegetables sold are grown there by the farm itself. Brix Bounty offers a summertime CSA running roughly 16 weeks, a Fall-into-Spring CSA covering storage crops and fresh greens, and a seasonal farmstand. Shares include a wide variety of vegetables spanning alliums, brassicas, nightshades, cucurbits, legumes, herbs, and root crops. The farm also hosts agricultural education events and offers soil fertility consulting services.
Brix Bounty Farm does not use synthetic fungicides, herbicides, or pesticides in the production of its vegetables. Instead, the farm works to build soil health through biological activity, mineral balance, and physical soil structure, using cover crops, compost, biodynamic preparations (compost teas), biological inoculants, rock minerals, and trace mineral fertilizers. Crop rotation is used to minimize disease and insect pressure, and row cover is employed when necessary to prevent insect damage. Cultivation is carried out with small-scale equipment and hand tools in place of chemical herbicides. All CSA shares are grown and produced entirely by the farm on its Bakerville Road land.
