The current owners purchased what had become an eroding, debris-filled hillside and spent years stabilizing the site, removing invasive species, replanting native plants, renovating historic structures, and building the infrastructure needed to run a permaculture farm. The property has a history stretching back nearly a century, and its transformation into a working farm reflects that long arc of use and reinvention. In addition to farming, the business operates a licensed Cottage Kitchen that produces goods made on-site. Bluebird Canyon Farms offers a shop, bookable farm tours, and a calendar of events, describing its aim as being an accessible resource and a model of sustainable urban living.
