Family-run orchard and u-pick farm growing dozens of varieties of heirloom and rare fruit.
Birdsong Orchards is a family-owned farm in the Pajaro Valley with a history as a flower farm and equestrian facility before its current stewards took over in October 2025. The property is home to a diverse orchard featuring dozens of varieties of apples, stone fruit, figs, citrus, persimmons, and more. Visitors can experience u-pick fruit and the farm also offers farm tours, school field trips, and seasonal workshops. Fruit orders are available for pickup at the Watsonville location. Each season brings a different rotation of fruit to discover and harvest. Learn more on their About Page.
Birdsong Orchards operates as a regenerative, organic farm that grows without synthetic chemicals, using only organic inputs. Soil health is maintained through composting, mulching, cover cropping, and companion planting. The farm is designed as an ecosystem where pollinators, butterflies, and native plants are integrated throughout. Plant material is composted and nothing is wasted. The farm minimizes gas-powered tools in favor of hand work, and water is used carefully and conservatively.
