Biga on the Banks

Biga on the Banks is a fine dining restaurant above a quiet, cypress-shaded bend of the San Antonio Riverwalk, open for dinner Tuesday through Sunday. Chef/Owner Bruce Auden, a native North Londoner, has built the restaurant's identity around what he calls 'Very New American Cuisine,' blending worldly influences into original, creative menus. Biga opened in its current Riverwalk location in 2000 and holds the highest Zagat rating of any fine dining restaurant on the Riverwalk, plus Diner's Choice honors. Chef Auden has received multiple James Beard Foundation nominations for Best Chef/Southwest. The restaurant offers an à la carte menu and a three-course prix fixe with optional wine pairings.
