Phoenix-area farm growing specialty vegetables, edible flowers, herbs, fruit, and dried flower wreaths using organic methods.
Bene Vivendo is a Phoenix-metro farm founded in 2018 by Emily Heller, who studied agriculture through University of Arizona extension programs before launching the operation. The farm grows specialty vegetables, herbs, fruit, edible flowers, and fresh and everlasting dried flower wreaths. Its signature crop is hibiscus (Roselle), alongside a rotating selection of heirloom and specialty varieties chosen for flavor, beauty, and rarity. Bene Vivendo sells at the Uptown Farmers Market on Saturdays and takes special orders for edible flowers from individuals, as well as wholesale inquiries from chefs, restaurants, and bakeries. Heller also offers gardening classes.
Bene Vivendo follows organic growing methods and focuses on heirloom and specialty varieties selected for exceptional flavor and visual appeal, including types unlikely to be found from other local growers. For edible flowers, Heller harvests each bloom individually by hand and uses no sprays of any kind. Flowers are packed by volume in clamshell boxes and kept refrigerated until sale. The farm operates across multiple plots in the Phoenix metro area and accepts volunteer support coordinated through the Arizona Sustainability Alliance.
