Independent CSA farm and year-round farm store offering vegetables, eggs, and locally sourced groceries.
Cotyledon Community Farm is an independent, woman-owned vegetable and herb farm operated by lead farmer Amanda Barker, who has been farming since 2009. The farm runs a CSA membership program with a 20-week season, offering half and full share sizes on a sliding-scale pricing model, with SNAP/HIP and payment plans accepted. Members participate in volunteer farm hours or may opt out for a fee, and pick-up is available at the farm in Leicester as well as at a secondary location in Main South, Worcester. A fruit share add-on is also available. Beyond the CSA, the farm operates a self-serve farm store open year-round, stocking its own vegetables alongside local eggs, meat, dairy, maple syrup, and pantry staples. The farm's physical setup includes two high tunnels, a greenhouse, a packing shed, perennial herb gardens, and a chicken grove. Learn more on their About Page.
Cotyledon Community Farm grows its produce using OMRI (organic standard) approved fertilizer, soil inoculants, and pest control, and uses no herbicides. The farm is engaged with UMass Extension and the NRCS for ongoing conservation and sustainable growing practices. Great care is taken to build soil health and preserve the surrounding ecosystems, which include stone walls, perennial gardens, diverse forests, pasture land, and wetlands. The farm store carries named partner products including Divoll's Farm pork and beef, and Harm's Family Farm maple syrup, alongside locally sourced yogurts, cheeses, and eggs.
