Certified Organic and Biodynamic farm raising pasture-raised livestock and over 200 varieties of fruits and vegetables in Moorpark, CA.
Apricot Lane Farms is a 234-acre ecologically regenerative farm founded in 2011 by Molly and John Chester. The farm grows more than 200 varieties of fruits and vegetables and raises cows, sheep, pigs, chickens, and ducks on pastures and within its orchards. It sells farm-grown avocados, avocado oil, honey lemonade, and pasture-raised pork and Wagyu beef directly through its online shop. The farm also hosts guided tours, field trips, and private events, and is the subject of the documentary film "The Biggest Little Farm." Learn more on their About Page.
Apricot Lane Farms is Certified Organic (CCOF) and Certified Biodynamic (Demeter). Its Holistic Livestock Program is Humane Certified, and several of its restored habitat areas hold Certified Wildlife Habitat status. The farm's approach centers on ecologically regenerative methods designed to restore biodiversity above and within the soil, including cover cropping, compost application, and managed grazing. Livestock are raised on pasture and within orchards as part of an integrated system. Its Wagyu beef comes from 100% grass-fed and grass-finished Akaushi Wagyu cattle. Avocado oil is pressed in small batches from 100% Biodynamic Hass avocados grown on the farm.
