Alhambra Valley and Silver Springs Ranch is a small family operation situated in the Alhambra Valley / Briones Valley Agricultural Preserve near Martinez. The business brings together two neighboring ranches, the Sindicich Ranch and the Seven V Ranch, united by marriage in 1941 and ranched by the same families ever since. It raises 100% grass-fed, grass-finished beef and pork, selling individual retail cuts spanning everything from ground beef and roasts to steaks and organ meats, as well as bulk options including quarter, half, and whole steer. Products are available at the Martinez Farmers Market.
Alhambra Valley and Silver Springs Ranch raises its beef cattle on grass exclusively, with no grain in their diet, and describes its approach as grass-fed and grass-finished. The ranch raises its cattle without hormones or additives. Pigs are fed a pelleted mix milled locally, as pigs require a higher protein diet that grass alone cannot provide. The ranch is committed to the respectful and humane treatment of all livestock.
