A&J King Artisan Bakers

A&J King Artisan Bakers is a family-owned artisan bakery founded in Salem, MA in June 2006 by Jackie and Andy King, who met at the New England Culinary Institute and trained at the Standard Baking Co. in Portland, ME before opening their own shop. The bakery operates two Salem locations: a downtown cafe on Central Street serving bread, pastry, espresso, and breakfast and lunch sandwiches, and a production facility and pick-up cafe on Boston Street where all breads and pastries are milled, mixed, shaped, and baked. In 2013, Jackie and Andy co-authored the book Baking by Hand. In 2017, they expanded with the 7,500-square-foot Boston Street baking facility and second retail store. Learn more on their About Page.
