White Oak Pastures is a six-generation family farm operating on nearly 5,000 acres in south Georgia. The farm raises five species of livestock, including grass-fed beef, heritage pork, pastured chicken and turkey, lamb, goat, and rabbit, alongside organic vegetables and honey. It operates as a vertically integrated, zero-waste enterprise, with all raising, slaughtering, processing, and order fulfillment handled on the farm. The farm also produces tallow products, leather goods, bone broths, sausages, jerky, jarred preserves, and raw wildflower honey. White Oak Pastures raises livestock on open pastures, allowing animals to express natural, instinctive behaviors. Cattle, goats, and sheep are Certified Grassfed by the American Grassfed Association. Hogs, chickens, turkeys, ducks, geese, guineas, rabbits, and laying hens are Certified Non-GMO. Farm vegetables are Certified Organic. The farm is one of the only operations in the United States to run two on-farm USDA-inspected abattoirs, one for red meat and one for poultry, keeping slaughter on-site. Its zero-waste model converts cattle hides into rawhide pet chews or tanned leather goods, renders fat into tallow products, and composts inedible viscera to return nutrients to the soil. The farm uses holistic planned grazing to sequester soil carbon and is one of 23 accredited Global Savory Hubs worldwide. Beginning in 1995, it transitioned away from industrial agriculture and now manages land as a living ecosystem with multiple species raised in symbiotic relationships.
