Eight-acre family vegetable farm offering a CSA, farmers market produce, and U-pick
Three Rivers Community Farm is an eight-acre family vegetable farm in Elsah, Illinois, owned and operated by Amy Cloud, Jose Lara, and their two children. The farm has been growing vegetables and plant seedlings for the Riverbend and St. Louis area since 2007. It produces over 45 types of vegetables and hundreds of varieties, with standouts including sweet carrots, colorful lettuces, cherry and slicing tomatoes, and specialty crops like lavender, eucalyptus, and ginger. Produce reaches customers through a CSA membership program, farmers markets, and an online store. The farm also hosts on-farm events and U-pick opportunities. Learn more on their About Page.
Three Rivers Community Farm raises all of its vegetables in the soil using organic growing methods, though it does not hold a third-party certification. Soil health is maintained through cover cropping, certified organic compost, and certified organic soil amendments. Any pest or disease sprays used are also certified organic. The farm is transparent about its practices and welcomes CSA members to visit and participate in volunteer opportunities to see how produce is grown firsthand.
