Family-run apiary producing pure, raw, unfiltered honey across multiple varietal harvests
Sweetwater Creek Honey Farm is a family-owned apiary founded by second-generation beekeeper Allen Bradd and his wife Angie, carrying on a tradition begun with Allen's father, Wayne. The farm operates as a migratory beekeeping company, maintaining bee yards in multiple locations to produce distinct varietal honeys. Its lineup includes Local Wildflower, Tupelo, Orange Blossom, Sourwood, Clover, Peach, Summer Berry, and Wildflower honey. Its Tupelo Honey has been recognized as one of the Top 10 Best Honeys in the U.S. by USA Today 10Best. Honey is available in individual bottles, cases, and variety packs, with wholesale purchasing available. Learn more on their About Page.
Sweetwater Creek Honey Farm produces its own honey rather than buying and repackaging from other sources. Each varietal reflects its harvest location: Local Wildflower Honey comes from bee yards in Douglas County, Tupelo Honey from South Georgia where hives overwinter, Orange Blossom Honey from Avon Park, Florida, and Sourwood Honey from the Appalachian Mountains. The farm's extraction process involves removing honey from the beeswax comb using centripetal force, then straining it without micro-filtration before it flows into bottling tanks. All honey is bottled and labeled by hand at the farm.
