Seawind Meadows, LLC is a family-owned and operated farm that has raised Scottish Highland heritage breed cattle on Cape Cod since 2006. It produces grass-fed and grass-finished Highland beef, farm-fresh eggs, and all-beef sausage in several styles, including breakfast, chorizo, and Italian varieties. The farm also carries Great Hill Blue Cheese, sourced from Marion, Massachusetts, at its market booth. Products are available year-round at the Orleans Farmers Market on Saturdays, the Orleans Whole Food Store, and the Cape Abilities Farmstand in Dennis. Seawind also sells AHCA-registered Highland cattle breeding stock to homesteaders and those interested in heritage breed preservation.
Seawind Meadows raises Scottish Highland cattle on pasture and finishes them entirely on grass. Its beef is USDA-processed and inspected, and the farm holds Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) certification and participates in the Quality Highland Beef (QHB) producer program. All beef is frozen at zero degrees following Massachusetts food handling policies. The laying flock, made up of several heritage and production breeds, is fed an all-natural diet, and eggs are collected, cleaned, packaged, and refrigerated on the farm. The farm also offers a cattle-and-chicken manure blend for soil amendment, sourced from its own animals.
