Three-acre farm producing small-batch jams, jellies, fruit syrups, herbal teas, and nursery plants.
Ridgedale Orchard and Vineyard is a three-acre farm in Lake Mathews started in 2012 by owners Mike and Karen. The farm grows over 20 varieties of fruit trees, including apricots, peaches, pomegranates, figs, sapotes, and medlars, along with berries, table grapes, and wine grapes. All of its jams, jellies, syrups, and teas are made from fruits and herbs grown on the property. Products are made in small batches with less sugar than traditional recipes and no artificial ingredients. Beyond preserves, the farm produces herbal teas, honey, and a range of nursery plants propagated from its own stock. Ridgedale Orchard and Vineyard also participates in farmers markets and special events. Learn more on their About Page.
Ridgedale Orchard and Vineyard describes its growing approach as organic and holistic, working with natural processes rather than against them. The farm does not use broad-spectrum pesticides, herbicides, or chemical fertilizers. Its sustainability methods are aimed at promoting soil health, minimizing water use, and reducing pollution. Jams, jellies, and syrups are produced exclusively from fruits and herbs grown on the farm, made in small batches with no artificial ingredients. The farm also keeps honey bees on the property.
